1. As a result of looking further into auto repair, I've learned more about the career as a whole. I've worked harder when doing my job, and as a result I get paid more.
2. My interview gave me some insight into the world of auto repair outside of the shop. I always assumed that people got good at the job with lots of practice, and it was confirmed, but I learned there's more than that. A huge part of the industry is based on certification and training, so much so that the training is available almost anywhere. I'm learning that there's more to the industry than meets the eye.
3. Changing my topic has made my life easier. I have a mentor and several interview's, as well as a large amount of possible training already lined up.
4. Procrastination has killed me. In the future I'll have to be on the ball all the time.
5. a) I'd like to study more about the training one goes through to become a good technician.
b) I want to finish the project as a capable worker, someone who can give 100% and do the jobs they've been assigned.
c) My dad's friend, an owner of his own shop. It'd be interesting to gain insight into what makes someone open a shop, and the skill necessary to both run a business and repair cars.
